It is definitely a young but brilliant visual artist who combines effectively in their work the elements of sobriety, strength, and intention, with an admirable mastery of the craft and great talent. In 2000 he joined the Active School of Photography and the National Arts School, where he was student: Javier Guadarrama Román and José Luis Alderete Retana. The first one gives the basics required by the painter\'s craft, while the second opens the conceptual universe of the painting.
In 2003 he celebrated his third solo exhibition entitled \"Leaks ethereal\" in Galleries 2 and 3 of ENAP. In 2005 and is entitled began his graduate studies at the Antigua Academia de San Carlos in the area of Painting, under the supervision of Ignacio Salazar.
He is currently Professor of course \"A\" Final at UNAM, Campus No. 5, where she teaches subjects: Painting, Printmaking and Drawing II.
In this back and forth the work of Fernando Reyes Varela dwells on various sources but mostly finds affinity with the generation of so-called rupture, especially with the proposed Lilia Carrillo, Francisco Corzas and Felguérez. Also touch assimilated the lessons of Ricardo Martinez, the Spanish Tàpies, Millares, Vela, not to mention Goya, Turner, Tamayo and Fernando De Szyszlo.
